About Me

Hi, I'm Elizabeth.

I’m a founder, author and storyteller driven by curiosity about how people build identity, navigate change and make sense of modern life. Over the last decade, my work has spanned books, columns, speaking and technology, but the thread connecting all of it has always been human behaviour: what we feel, what we hide, what we want, and who we become.

Books

Words That Travelled

SLAY IN YOUR LANE book cover

SLAY IN YOUR LANE

The bestselling book that started as conversations between two best friends and became a cultural touchstone. Slay In Your Lane gave language to the ambition, frustration, and brilliance of Black British women trying to build lives in rooms that weren’t always built for them.

THE RESET book cover

THE RESET

I came up with the idea for The Reset before the pandemic, after noticing how many people were burnt out by the way we were working and living. The book asks a bigger question: what would it look like to design work around real life, not the other way around? Through interviews with business leaders, politicians, thinkers, The Reset explores how we can rethink cities, community, culture.

LOUD BLACK GIRLS book cover

LOUD BLACK GIRLS

A collection of essays celebrating the many ways Black women use their voice through honesty, refusal, softness, joy, ambition, humour and simply taking up space without apology.

SLAY IN YOUR LANE: THE JOURNAL book cover

SLAY IN YOUR LANE: THE JOURNAL

The Black Girl Bible became a space to reflect. This journal turns the spirit of Slay In Your Lane into prompts, exercises and reminders for Black women building success on their own terms.

THE OFFLINE DIARIES book cover

THE OFFLINE DIARIES

A funny, warm and sharply observed fiction book about friendship, school, social media and growing up in London. Through Ade and Shanice, The Offline Diaries explores what it means to find your friends online, offline and everywhere in between.

Speaking

For rooms ready to think bigger

Elizabeth Uviebinené speaking at an event

I bring warmth, humour and sharp cultural insight to every room I speak in. Whether I’m talking about ambition, failure, emotional health, the future of work or reinvention, my strength is making big ideas feel human, relatable and useful. I don’t just want audiences to feel inspired in the moment. I want them to leave with a fresh perspective, a greater sense of empowerment and action.

I've worked with a range of companies, including Meta, Imperial College London, Google, Tortoise, and Spotify.

Founder

Turning emotion into intelligence

I built Storia because I kept meeting people who wanted more from their lives, but didn’t always know what was getting in the way.

They were ambitious, and trying to grow, but also overwhelmed, burned out, emotionally overloaded and carrying more than they had time to process.

Storia helps people turn those feelings into something powerful. It is a proactive emotional health app that uses AI to help people reflect, spot patterns, track their emotional growth and make clearer decisions about their lives.

Since launch, Storia has processed over 40 million words of self-reflection, helped 45,000+ people, and been recognised by Apple as App of the Day across 45+ countries.

Brands

A trusted voice

AdAge feature on Elizabeth Uviebinené connecting brands to culture

I’ve worked with brands including Google, Bumble, Interflora, Nike, Beats by Dre and YouTube, helping shape and front campaigns rooted in culture, identity and social impact.

My work sits at the intersection of strategy and storytelling. Behind the scenes, I help brands find the human truth inside a brief: the tension, language and cultural insight that make an idea land. I help brands understand not just what they want to say, but why it matters now, who it needs to reach and how to make it feel culturally alive.

In front of the camera, I bring those ideas to life with clarity, warmth and authority.
